AMERICAN RAPPER ” YOUNG DOLPH ” SHOT DEAD IN MEMPHIS (VIDEO)

The American rapper Young Dolph has been killed by a shooting in Memphis, officials have confirmed.

Adolph Thornton Jr. popularly known as “Young Dolph” who is 36-years of age has been shot dead on visiting a cookies shop in Memphis on Wednesday, 17th of November.

Young Dolph released his debut album in 2016 and racked up more video views on YouTube.

Artists including Chance the rapper and Megan the stallion have paid tribute to Young Dolph.

The Memphis mayor Jim Strickland confirmed the death of the Young Dolph.

He said ” the tragic shooting death of rapper artist Young Dolph serves as another reminder of the pain that violent crime brings with it”.

The local media said the artist was fatally shot on Wednesday while visiting the Makeda’s Homemade butter cookies store near the city’s airport just before 13:00 .

The representative for APA agency, which the rapper is listed as client, in a statement said that the company was “shocked and deeply saddened” at Young’s death.

The statement said, ” The world has lost an icon, a great man and a beloved artist who has been taken too soon”.

Young had been a shooting Target in the past. The rapper said his vehicle had been shot multiple times in Charlotte in February 2017. Then was injured in a shooting in Los Angeles that same year.

Megan thee Stallion related Young as a friend and “true legend” . They both released a song in 2020.
