AKUAPEM POLOO GOES BACK TO JAIL AFTER APPEAL WAS DENIED BY THE ACCRA HIGH COURT

Rosemond Brown popularly known as Akuapem Poloo is set to go back to jail after appeal was denied against her 90-day jail sentences.

Her appeal was heard by the High Court in Accra today, December 1st 2021.

Akuapem Poloo’s appeal was refused by the Presiding Judge Ruby Aryeetey and confirmed the decisions of the Circuit Court who gave her 90 days prison sentence.

She was jailed earlier this year for 90-days after she was charged with publishing indecent material and also other charges for taking nude photos with her son which is a minor.

Her sentence was place on hold pending an appeal in the High Court.

The appeal was heard and dismissed today. 1st of December, 2021. As stated by the High Court judge, the previous sentence was not over excessive in consequence she sees no need to reverse it.

Justice Aryee said, ” this court will not interfere and the appeal is therefore dismissed”.

Akuapem Poloo will therefore continue serving her sentence.

The judge also ruled that in her absence, the child is going to be given to any family member who is capable enough to take care of the child.

As at the moment, the celebs must be very vigilant of what they post on social media because it can have long lasting consequences when it goes too far.
