Paris Saint-Germain’s fullback Achraf Hakimi and his family are celebrating a recent court ruling on the divorce case filed against him by his wife.
The football star’s spouse had asked for half of his assets, but the court found that he does not own any property, as everything is registered in his mother’s name.
Despite earning a staggering €1 million per month from PSG, Hakimi does not have any real estate, vehicles, homes, jewellery, or even clothing. Instead, he asks his mother to buy him anything he needs or wants. As a result, the court ruled that his wife is not entitled to any of his assets.
A video shared on social media showed Hakimi dancing with his mother as his family members gathered to celebrate the court ruling. The football player and his family appeared to be overjoyed with the outcome of the case.
While the reason for the divorce was not initially clear, it has since been reported that Hakimi’s recent rape case may have played a role. The football star was accused of rape by a woman in Paris in February 2022. He has denied the allegations, and the case is still ongoing.
Despite the ongoing legal issues, Hakimi has continued to play for PSG and has been a key player for the team. He joined the French club in July 2021 from Inter Milan for a reported fee of €60 million.
Hakimi’s case is just one of many high-profile divorce cases involving football stars.
