Ablakwa Purchases Ultramodern Medical Equipment From US For New Surgical Theatre In North Tongu

The Member of Parliament for Tongu North constituency, Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa has successfully procured medical equipment from the US to build an ultramodern surgical theatre in the Volta Region.

Following the clearing of a fully loaded 40-footcontainer of medical equipment shipped from the United States of America, the construction of a modern surgical theatre in North Tongu is on the way to becoming a reality.

Mr Ablakwa couldn’t shy away from his joy upon the arrival of the ultramodern medical equipment from the US.

Taken to his Facebook page and other social media platforms, the NDC outspoken MP shared photos of the container and some of the expensive and complex-looking equipment.

“Great news for my beloved constituents.

“Yesterday we successfully cleared our fully loaded 40-foot container of medical equipment shipped from the US for our historic modern Surgical Theatre Project,” the lawmaker wrote on Sunday, August 14,2022, further revealing: “Installations begin this week, ahead of commissioning.”

The “historic modern Surgical Theatre Project” is just one of the many life-changing initiatives by the MP over the years to make life worth living for his constituents.

The project, when completed and launched, will go a long way to not only improve healthcare delivery in North Tongu but also benefit the entire region.

As usual, Ghanaians have been hailing Ablakwa for his consistency in prioritizing the wellbeing and comfort of his constituents, with some people jokingly asking him to pull the brakes or they will relocate to his constituency.

It is for this and many other enviable things the Ranking Member of Parliament’s Foreign Affairs Committee has achieved for his “beloved constituency” that duly earned him the best MP for the year 2021 title.

Last week, Colonel Kwadwo Damoah (Rtd.), the Commissioner of the Customs Division of the Ghana Revenue Authority (GRA), has taken swipe at the report by the Office of the Special Prosecutor implicating his office in corruption-related acts involving Labianca Company Limited.

Describing the reports as ‘hollow’ and one that does not contain any substance while speaking at a Customs Division Management Retreat in Kumasi in the Ashanti Region, the Commissioner of the Customs explained that, the basis for the OSP’s investigative report was because he did not allow one Mr Akrugu to be seconded to the SP’s office.

He started that any attempts by the Special Prosecutor to bring him down will not work because the Almighty God is on his side.
