Founder and leader of Heaven’s Gate Ministries, Prophet Kumchacha has hit back at his critics over his ambitions to run for the 2024 presidential race.
A week ago, flyers of Prophet Kumchacha went viral on social media as he declared his intentions of fighting for the highest throne in Ghana, to be come the next President in 2024.
Some social media users quickly opposed that Kumcacha doesn’t qualify to become the President of Ghana. In other words, they meant he doesn’t have what it takes to rule the country.
In response, he has described persons who cast aspersions over his presidential ambition as fools and senseless people.
Speaking in an interview with Halifax on the Accra-based Okay FM, the preacher noted that it is okay for people to weigh the pros and cons of his victory but not go as far as to say he isn’t a good fit for the nation.
“We’ve got to a point where we need to give spiritual leaders a chance to lead this country. You have every right to speculate whether I will win or not. But when you say I’m not qualified to be a president, then you’re a fool.
“If a gentleman like me says I want to contest and I make my arrangements but you utter unnecessary words like ‘he doesn’t qualify’, that’s stupid,” he said.
Prophet Kumchacha further noted that nothing happens physically without approval from the spiritual realm, citing some former Presidents never knew they were capable of being leaders of nations until the opportunity availed itself.
“No one was born to be president from their mother’s womb, they need to work towards it. Akufo-Addo did something and that is why he is president,” he said.
“Rawlings used to order beans and gari and paid later, he didn’t even know he would be president. The door opened and he became president. Sometimes it’s not only about the physical but the spiritual,” he added.
